‘A Concert of Hope’ with Streetwise Opera
On Saturday 22nd September 2018 we collaborated with Streetwise Opera on 'A Concert of Hope', featuring the world famous Street Requiem, performed at Manchester Cathedral to remember those who have died homeless on the streets of Manchester.
The event was a fantastic opportunity to experience sheer beauty, profound melancholy, and absolute joy and hope in one piece of music, performed by 70 singers from Australia, the USA and UK.
This concert raised much needed funds for Streetwise Opera, a homelessness charity whose immersive opera in Manchester, The Passion (★★★★★ The Times), was broadcast by BBC Four in 2016 and seen by a combined audience of 140,000.
It was a real pleasure to work with them on such a fantastic event and we’re very excited for further collaborations in the future.
